Theresa Scibek Zygmond, age 86 of Farmingdale passed away Sunday May 22nd 2016 at her home. Born in Sayreville she had resided there for 30 years before moving to Farmingdale 20 years ago. Before her retirement she was employed as a Nurse’s Aide in Farmingdale for 20 years. Theresa was a former communicant of St Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville where she was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

She is predeceased by her parents Stanley and Mary Scibek, her brothers Edward, Benjamin, Stanley and Walter Scibek, her sisters Frances Kulas, Florence Kuczynski, Ann Halas, Pearl Zyskowski and Beatrice Adamecs and her former husband Chester Zygmond. Surviving are her son Gary of Farmingdale and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville with a 10am Mass at St Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. A private cremation will follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made towards the funeral expenses.
