Obituary for Adolph J "Zip" Dziepak

South River
Adolph J. “Zip” Dziepak age 80 of South River passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge with his loving and devoted children at his side. Born in South River he was a lifelong borough resident. Before his retirement in 1991 he was employed as a machine operator for G.I.S.T., formally Anheuser-Busch in Spotswood where he worked for 15 years and prior to that at Algrow Knitting Mills in Milltown. Adolph proudly served his county in the U.S. Marine Corp, and was a communicant of Corpus Christi R. C. Church in South River. Adolph and his late wife Joan were avid cooks and loved to can their own fresh vegetables, also fishing, crabbing and mushroom picking.

He is predeceased by his wife Joan Kosa Dziepak in 2009, his parents Adolph & Rose Dziepak and his brother Edward Dziepak. Surviving are his daughters Donna Ambry of South Amboy and Diana Schmidt and her husband William of South River, his grandchildren Erin Ambry, Jessica and Lauren Schmidt and his sisters Shirley Hockenjos of Sayreville and Rose Garbowski of Wilmington, Delaware.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11am at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River, with burial to follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
