Joann Waskis age 70 of Sayreville passed away Saturday August 2, 2014 at Briarwood Care & Rehabilitation Center, Sayreville. Born in Elizabeth she has resided in Sayreville since 1969. Before her retirement she was employed as a travel agent for AAA Travel in Marlboro and prior to that for Richard Brill Agency and Sowa Travel.

She is predeceased by her parents Irving & Evelyn Maid. Surviving are her husband of 52 years Bernard Waskis, her sons John & Michael her daughter Christine Brinkerhoff and her husband Tim, her grandchildren Tim and Jessica and her sisters Arlene DeJesus and Judy Baucher.

Funeral services were private under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin.
