Edward Marcinczyk age 86 of the Morgan section of Sayreville passed away Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Saint Peters Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Sayreville he was a life long borough resident. Before his retirement in 1994 he was employed as a record supervisor by the County of Middlesex Board of Elections where he worked for 22 years and prior to that as a machine operator for American Smelting & Refining in Perth Amboy for 25 years. Mr. Marcinczyk was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a former member of the South Amboy Elks and South Amboy American Legion. Edward was a communicant of Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy.

He is predeceased by his wife Jean Dzienciol Marcinczyk, his parents Walter & Bertha Prusakowski Marcinczyk and his brother Frank Marcinczyk. Surviving are his children and their spouses Bruce & Laurie Marcinczyk of Sayreville, Darlene Ward of Sayreville and Barry & Susan Marcinczyk of Middlesex, his grandchildren Shelley, Sheila and Sheryl Ward and Kristie, Jeanna and Tommy Marcinczyk and his sister Irene Baranowski of Toms River.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sayreville.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Saturday from 2pm to 6pm.
