Lawrence H. "Larry" Dibling went to join his Dad on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the same hospital he was born in, Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. The son of Mary and Herbert Dibling was 59 years old. Larry was born and raised in South Amboy and graduated from St. Mary High School in 1973 . He received a bachelors from Rutgers in Economics. Larry ventured into several businesses and could "sell ice to an Eskimo in the winter.” He had multiple careers which included 5 years in Las Vegas as a World Poker Tour dealer. Larry was known for his storytelling, sense of humor and creativity. He had a gregarious personality and would often be found with binoculars in hand at Monmouth Park. He enjoyed music and was an avid photographer and fisherman.

Larry was predeceased in March of this year by his father Herbert L. Dibling. He is survived by his mother Mary Dibling of South Amboy and two siblings. His sister Denise Kusic and her husband Paul of North Brunswick; and his brother John and his wife Janice of Manalapan. He also had several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9am Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy. Cremation will follow with private interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Larry’s name to a charity of your choice.
