Obituary for Irene Patricia Tobias (Biesiada)
Irene Patricia Tobias, age 94 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Tuesday, February 17th at Lincoln Park Care Center in Lincoln Park, NJ. Born in South Amboy she had resided in Parlin since 1948. Before her retirement Irene was employed at Sunshine Biscuits in Sayreville for 16 years. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy where she was involved in many church activities. Irene also enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and blueberry picking but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents Stanislaus and Cecelia Biesiada, her husband Charles in 2003 and her siblings Victoria, Joseph, Dorothy, Charles, Anthony, Stanley, Arthur, Leon, Louis, Theodore, Andrew, Frank and Julia.
Surviving are her sons and their wives Andrew and Michelle of Morris Plains, Lawrence and Lynn of Montville and Charles and Rosemary of Freehold, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and her sister Cecilia “Tootie” Gutkowski of Boonton Township.
Funeral services will be held 8:30am Saturday from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:00am Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm.
