Obituary for Anne M Kalasin (Solowynski)
South River
Anne M. Kalasin, age 90, of South River, passed away peacefully on Friday March 13, 2015 at Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Born in Plainfield she has resided in South River since 1950. Mrs. Kalasin was the corporate secretary for Lee’s Auto Part in South River from 1972 till her retirement in 2002 and prior to that as a seamstress for 25 years through the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Anne was a lifelong communicant of Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in South River.
She is predeceased by her husband Leon Kalasin in 2002, her parents John & Elizabeth Solowynski and her siblings Jacob and John Solowynski and Sophie House. Surviving are her sons and their wives Leon & Diane of Manasquan and Robert & Gloria of Colonia, her grandchildren Moriah Collado and her husband Ariel, Leon III, Christopher, Michelle and Dana her great grandson Nathaniel Collado, and her brother Walter Solowynski in Georgia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 12 noon Mass at Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in South River with burial to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 5pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Anne’s memory be sent Reformed Church Home, Route #18 North, Old Bridge, N.J. 08857.
