Marie A. (Kovacs) Smith of Sayreville, NJ formally from East Brunswick, NJ entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Saturday August 29, 2015. Heaven just received a very special angle to watch over and protect us. Marie was born on March 6, 1928. Before her retirement she worked many years for the East Brunswick Public Schools as a secretary in the Adult Education Dept. Marie was very devout to her religion and had a loving, compassionate heart. Her smile would brighten up any room she entered. She loved to attend the Sayreville Senor Club meetings and luncheons. Marie would dedicate her time helping her friends who no longer drove by taking them food shopping, doctor appointments or any errands that they needed done. Marie enjoyed going to the movies with her dear friend Louise. She enjoyed working every year as an election poll worker. Maries most favorite past time was spending time with her family.
Marie is predeceased by her loving husband, Walter A. Smith, her son, Daniel, her parents Frank and Katherine Kovacs, her brother Frank Kovacs Jr. and sister, Elizabeth Matyi. She will be sadly missed by her son Walter and wife Carol Smith, and her three daughters; Lynn Bennett and her companion John Renda, Lauren Smith, Kerry Vojir and husband Stephen. She will be sadly missed by her cherished 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make memorial contributions in her name to The East Brunswick Independent Fire Company Dist. 2 at 216 Joseph Street, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30am at Our Lady of Victories R.C Church in Sayreville with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, East Brunswick.
