Andrzej J. Stopienski age 65 of Sayreville passed away Saturday February 13, 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Gdansk, Poland he immigrated to the United States in 1981 to Elizabeth then to South River before settling in Sayreville in 1994. Before his retirement in 2006 Mr. Stopienski was employed by Asplundh Tree Service in Scotch Plains as a tree trimmer where he worked for 21 years. He was a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville and was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 822 in South River.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years Irene Wojnilo Stopienski, his sons Jacek Stopienski and his wife Elzbieta of Cresco, Pa., Piotr Stopienski of Avenel, and Andrzej J. Stopienski Jr. of Jackson, his grandchildren Jack, Jennifer, Christina, Amber, Ashley and Robert, his great granddaughter Kaylee and his siblings Stanislaw and Christina.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 9am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.
