Dorothy A. Miele, age 64, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Born in Jersey City she has resided in Parlin for the past 34 years. Before her retirement she was employed as accounts receivable clerk for Coco Cola Bottling Company in New Brunswick. Mrs. Miele was a member of Sayreville First Presbyterian Church.
She is predeceased by her parents George & Ruth Waegelin. Surviving are her husband of 45 years John Miele, her daughter Cheryl Miele-Vannatter and her husband Jason Vannatter of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, her son Michael Miele of Parlin, her grandson Patrick Madden, and her siblings Margaret Hayes of Freehold, Philip Waegelin of Middletown and Robert Waegelin of Sintra, Portugal.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with calling hours from 2pm to 6pm and services being held at 5:30pm. Private cremation will follow. Letters of condolence, directions and completed arrangements can be found at spezzifuneralhome.com
