Obituary for Arthur J "Artie" Crosby

South Amboy
Arthur J. Crosby, age 68, of South Amboy, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Jersey City he had resided in Parlin before moving to South Amboy 20 years ago. Before his retirement he was employed as a boiler maker through the International Brotherhood of Boiler Makers Union local 28.

He is predeceased by his parents Arthur S. & Margaret Sullivan Crosby, and his brothers Gary and Richard Crosby. Surviving are his wife of 35 years Millie Mezger Crosby, his children and their spouses Michele & Ross Silverstein of Allentown, Pa, and Kim Schoemer & Susan Klein of Ortley Beach, his grandchildren Aaron and Jared Silverstein, his sister Carol Neminski of Parlin, his brother and his wife John & JoAnn Crosby of Sicklerville and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Arthur’s name be made to South Amboy First Aid and Rescue Squad P.O. Box 328 South Amboy New Jersey 08879.
