Memories

Our friendship goes back over 50 years! I can remember Joe & Dee as teens dating. We walked to high school everyday together, laughing & hoping we would get there on time. We shared the best years of life together dating guys who were teamsters. We married months apart, had our boys the same year and even had the same wonderful pediatrician, Dr Falcone. Hoboken was our town before anyone imagined it would ever be the "it" town it is today. Our roots remained there although we ventured out of the city into the suburbs. Joe was one great guy who always remembered his friends and his roots. He never forgot where he came from. We last saw one another at the 50th Hoboken High School reunion. We laughed and remembered times gone by. Nothing changed, we were still those young at heart teens, just all grown up now. We all danced and promised to always stay in touch, and we did. Life will not be the same without Joe. He & Dee will forever remain the greatest couple to ever grace the streets of Hoboken! Sayreville & the interest Joe took in the places & people who depended on him to get the pool up & ready will forever miss his presence. He was committed & always worked for the betterment of the community. He will be remembered always for his quick wit, caring ways & devotion to his family, his friends, his fabulous wife, Dee, and his wonderful son, Joseph. Good night my dear good friend, rest now.. Until we meet again! Carol Azzarone-Onuschak & Jeff
